Mighty

Mighty is a Riftbound keyword: a unit is Mighty while it has 5 or more Might. No unit has it as an ability; cards check for it or trigger when a unit becomes Mighty.

How Mighty works

What makes a unit Mighty?

Having 5 or more Might right now, counting everything that raises or lowers it. It stops being Mighty the moment its Might drops below 5.

Core Rules 708, 710

Is Mighty an ability units have?

No. Cards highlight Mighty like a keyword, but it only describes a unit with 5 or more Might. No unit has it as an ability; other cards check whether a unit is Mighty.

Core Rules 707, 801.2

What does “becomes Mighty” mean?

It's the moment a unit's Might goes from less than 5 to 5 or more. A unit that's already Mighty and grows bigger doesn't become Mighty again, so cards that trigger on it, like Fiora, Worthy and Grand Duelist, only trigger again after it drops below 5 and climbs back.

Core Rules 709

Do temporary boosts and buffs count?

Yes. Units on the board use their current Might, so a 3 Might unit given +3 Might this turn is Mighty until the boost ends. Each buff adds 1 Might too.

Core Rules 710, 703

Is a card in my hand, deck or trash Mighty?

Only if its printed Might is 5 or more. Off the board, cards use their printed Might, whatever happened to them on the board. That's what Raving Witness checks when it reveals the top card of your deck.

Core Rules 711

Does Unsung Hero's “If I was Mighty” use the Might it died with?

Yes. A past-tense Deathknell looks back to the moment it triggered, just before the unit went to the trash, so Unsung Hero counts the Might it had then, boosts and buffs included, not its printed 2 Might.

Core Rules 808.1.c.2, 808.1.d.3

Example: Fiora gets a buff

Fiora, Victorious has 4 printed Might and reads “While I'm Mighty, I have Deflect, Ganking, and Shield.” Give her a buff and she has 5 Might, so she's Mighty and gains all three keywords. When she defends, Shield adds 1 more, for 6 Might. Without the buff, she's a plain 4 Might unit with none of them.
