How Predict works
What does Predict do?
You look at the top card of your Main Deck and decide whether to recycle it. With Predict 2 or more, you look at that many cards, recycle any number of them, and put the rest back on top in whatever order you like.
Core Rules 437.1, 437.1.a
What does recycling a card do?
It puts the card on the bottom of your Main Deck. If you recycle two or more cards at once, they go to the bottom in a random order.
Core Rules 417.1, 417.5
Do I have to recycle anything?
No. You can recycle all, some or none of the cards you look at, and put the rest back on top in the order you want.
Core Rules 437.1, 437.1.a
Does my opponent see the cards I predict?
No. Predict has you look at the cards, not reveal them. Revealing is what shows a card to every player, and cards like Diana, Lunari say so separately when they want it.
Core Rules 437.1, 425.1
What if my deck has fewer cards than I'm predicting?
You predict as many as you can. Predicting never makes you burn out, even with too few cards in your deck.
Core Rules 437.4, 437.4.a
How is Predict different from Vision?
Vision is a keyword on permanents that means "When this is played, Predict." Predict is the action itself, which spells and abilities can tell you to do at any point.
Core Rules 817.1.b, 437.2.a
Why do older cards not say Predict?
Riot turned the old wording "look at the top card of your Main Deck. You may recycle it" into the Predict action in Unleashed, and added the highlight to card text from then on. Older cards with that wording do the same thing.

Example: Setting up a draw with Clairvoyance
You play Clairvoyance, which says Predict 5, then draw 2. You look at your top five cards, recycle the three you don't want, and put the best two back on top. Then you draw those two.

Official rulings
Riot's own words, from its rules articles.
In this case, we’re codifying instructions that say “look at the top card of your main deck. You may recycle it” into the game action Predict. Predicting is the act of looking at some number of cards from the top of your main deck and choosing to recycle any number of them and placing the remaining ones back in any order of the predicting player’s choosing.
